Laminated Floors for Dummy Redecorators

typical cheap laminated flooring
Congratulate us: we're buying a new headquarters building! and some of the rooms in that house have laminated floors (the Pergo® brand seems a favorite of the previous owners). So just what is this stuff? Well, one person we know better than to ask is a member of InfoBarrel.com who styled him/herself as omba. In a brief burst of activity on the site, omba demonstrated topic expertise by writing not just one but five different(ish) articles about flooring, including the marvelous "Beginners guide to Laminate Flooring."

Here is some of omba's more thought-provoking information...
"Laminate is made by splitting the layer of wood with a layer of some decorative material to made it a little attractive. It is a bit cheaper than other types of flooring techniques in the sense that it is less expensive than maple floor. And that is longer than the usual carpet. Also a big advantage in that setting on the floor a little easier task. It does not require special mechanisms of the design, so each person can not fix it on the ground experience. "
OK, we're not certain whether that's spun or just incredibly lousy grammar; probably the former. Listen, it's one thing to pretend you know something and just plain get it wrong (like they do at eHow and HubPages all the time), it's entirely another to just plug someone else's content into a spinning algorithm and publish it without even bothering to read it!

    But wait, there's more!
"Also, it can also give to the same form as other types of flooring. It can be accessed in a variety of design templates, and in various sizes. Its height and width can vary. Stick Laminate includes fixing methods. But it was the practice in the past. to avoid in modern times, stick to make it easier and faster method. But it also requires high precision and accuracy. Cleaning laminate flooring is a bit more easily. It does not require the usual method of using a damp cloth, and everything should take only a dry cloth to dirt and dust are carried out from the surface."
We really like the "Also, it can also..." line and the "Cleaning... is a bit more easily..." crap. With spinning chops like that, it's easy to see how omba became one of InfoBarrel's most revered members (not!) even if he-she-it did only publish seven articles, five of them about flooring, Heck, his-her-its first article isn't even spun! We noticed, though, that omba does need to learn the word "susceptible" isn't spelled "suspect-able." Regardless, for the fractured and spun crap and the eye-bleed quality English, omba definitely deserves to be awarded today's Dumbass of the Day. Stick that to your floor, dumbass!
