Photography, the Dummy Version

Clueless photographer at work
Who doesn't like to get advice from an expert? Publishing company lists are chock full of books about how to get rich, written by people who got lucky and got rich and decided to get richer by telling other people their "secrets." The annals of freelance dumbassery are even fuller... Here's a bit of advice from a self-proclaimed expert in web design (ever notice how many freelancers claim to be web designers? we have) at WritEdge.com, one Redelyn Juan, who shared her vast photographic expertise with us in "How to Get that Nice Shot."¹ Wow, thanks, Redelyn!

Just in case you missed that one, here are her tips:
  1. Direct from the no-duh department: "Bring your camera"
  2. "Shoot photos as many as you can, as long as you want" : In other words, take millions of pictures – one day you might be able to use one
  3. "Visit parks, animal zoos and butterfly sanctuaries": What if you don't need pictures of animals and butterflies? And is there another kind of zoo we don't know about?
  4. "Join photography clubs and learn from the experts": Or maybe just find other people who don't know what they're doing...
  5. "Shoot early daybreak and late midday": Even a blind pig occasionally finds an acorn. This is actually good advice, although clearly the content's been spun. We wonder what the original wording was for "Early daybreak is when the light is stunning and supple."
  6. "Attend seminars and workshops": Reasonably good advice, though negated by  "A session or two is a good tool if you want to be trained by professionals,"
  7. "Observe your subject’s angles": We have no idea what this one's supposed to mean...
Redelyn's qualifications for sharing her massive expertise?
"Back in 2008, I used to be a web designer. And one of my duties every day is to take pictures."
We repeat: Wow, thanks a million to Redelyn, our Dumbass of the Day.

I don't think they are. I think YOU are DUMB ASS. For hobbyist, that's very helpful. It's for the beginners and for general, not only in specific areas in photography. It's not indicated in the article, 'How To Get That Nice Wedding Shot' or 'How To Get That Nice Selfie' for instance. If you are not a hobbyist, you don't know what the pointers means.

I've been one of her team mates before and I have a high respect to her. THIS IS A HOAX!! you are just using other's profile to add traffic to your blog. Your writings are useless. You're dragging her for your own gain.
